Students Power the Future: East Amwell's GreenPower Electric Vehicle Success
East Amwell Township School is leading the way in innovative STEAM education with its exciting GreenPower Electric Vehicle project. Thanks to a generous grant from the Hunterdon, Somerset, Mercer Tri-County STEM Ecosystem Consortium, our students have transformed classroom learning into real-world engineering achievement.
What began as an ambitious vision has now become reality. The project was designed to integrate seamlessly into our technology curriculum, giving students hands-on experience building an actual electric vehicle. This comprehensive initiative incorporates all aspects of STEAM education—Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics—and has become an important component of our technology program.
Student Achievement in Action
Our 7th and 8th grade technology classes recently celebrated a major milestone with the successful completion of the electric vehicle's construction. This was accomplished with the guidance and leadership of Mr. Casella in his Tech class. The students were excited as they conducted multiple test drives, seeing their hard work literally in motion!
