Children are expected to be in class every day school is in session unless the child is personally ill. However, a child who has any sign of fever, chills, a very runny nose, severe coughing, skin eruption, earache, red sore throat, or diarrhea should not be sent to school. Such symptoms may indicate the beginning of a contagious disease. It also frequently means that the child has to be sent home from school. Under these conditions where these symptoms exist, it is neither fair to the individual child nor to the children with whom he comes in contact for him to attend school. If a student is absent for more than 2 days or if he has a communicable condition, please notify the school nurse.

Any child wishing to participate in an after-school activity must be signed into school by 1:00 p.m.
