Superintendent's Message April

April Message From Mr. Stoloski
Posted on 03/28/2019

Greetings!

At our School Board Meeting in March, the Board approved a preliminary Budget.

Guidelines to the administration from the Governor, as well as direction from the Board, were to stay below the 2% cap.  We are pleased to bring in a budget with only an increase of 1.58% of last year’s total budget.  The budget maintains all programs, additional staffing for special needs students and necessary capital improvements needed at the school.

The preliminary Budget will be forwarded to the County for approval and then presented to the community at a public hearing in May prior to a final BOE vote.

A link to a PowerPoint containing specific budget information will be available on our website in late April.

In other business, the Board revised the 2018-19 school calendar to include two snow make up days.  Hopefully Spring has sprung and no additional emergency days will be needed.  Our last day of school is now scheduled for June 21st for students.  Graduation is scheduled for June 20th.

Sincerely,

Edward Stoloski

        Superintendent
